Robert Wolff

Robert Wolff is an engineer, entrepreneur, and community builder with deep roots in the computer software and hardware industry. He holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and is bilingual in English and Spanish.

His career sits at the intersection of developer experience, community strategy, and product building, with a track record that spans early-stage startups, global silicon ecosystems, and grassroots developer communities. He is, above all, a passionate DevEx driven community builder.

He is founder and a core community member of the Developers Ecosystem (devEco), and the Founding Partner at devEco Consulting LLC, the consulting arm of that ecosystem, where he advises companies on developer relations, developer experience, and community strategy. Alongside that work, he is the Founder of portalNetwork Inc. and its suite of portalBots, a multi-platform community engagement system currently in closed alpha.

Robert serves as VP External and Advisor on the UC San Diego Electrical Engineering Alumni Board of Directors, Advisor to Developer Network, Source Network, and NextPCB.

He is also a self-described Discord guru and the keeper of portals, serving as admin for more than a dozen developer, technology, and content creator communities, including EDGE AI FOUNDATION, devEco, CrunchLabs and HACK PACK, enviroBLOQ, the Sean Hodgins Network, and Becky Stern's community, among many others.

His background includes time as an Arm Ambassador, Arm Innovator, AWS Community Builder, and IoTeX Advisor, along with previous roles at UC San Diego, Linaro, and Arm. Across each of those chapters, the through line has been the same: helping developers feel at home, helping companies meet developers where they are, and building communities people actually want to belong to.
